In March 2021, the Polish government announced an update of the logging quotas contained in the management plan for the Białowieża forest. It is already possible to see how the new quotas might run afoul of the complaints raised by the European Commission and endorsed by the Court of Justice of the EU in its 2018 ruling against Poland.
